4th PAWD Convergence 2023 | August 29-31, 2023

The ACWD Board of Directors led by Chairman, Ret. Col. Manuel V. Velasco attended the recently concluded 4th Philippine Association of Water Districts (PAWD) Convergence 2023 at the Ilo-ilo Convention Center, Ilo-ilo City last August 29-21, 2023. This year’s convergence theme was: Accelerating Growth Strategies for Sustainable and Resilient Water Districts.
Together with Chairman Velasco are the BOD Members: Dir. Sylvia N. Inacay, Dir. Marina Terrado, and Admin Assistants Ms. Julie Ann Tupaz and Ms. Katherine Tolentino.
Aimed to focus on identifying and implementing growth strategies that promote both sustainability and resilience within the water districts, the convergence also focused to explore technological and innovative approaches, financing models, and governance mechanisms and strategies that support sustainable and resilient water management. It also emphasized on the need
to accelerate growth through sustainable and resilient practices to ensure long-term viability and success of water districts.
The convergence was attended by the LWUA Executives, different public and private water utilities, suppliers, contractors and other important players in the water utility industry.
