Values Orientation Workshop – PAGKA-TAO, PAGKA-KALIKASAN, PAGKA-FILIPINO, PAGKA-TAGAPAGLINGKOD
These were the four major aspects of being a public servant tackled in the two-day Values Orientation Workshop (with Republic Act 6713 – Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees) of the Alaminos City Water District held last September 10 and 11, 2018 at the Office of the Provincial Agriculture Function Hall, Alaminos City, Pangasinan. The event was attended by 45 employees of ACWD including Atty. Napoleon F. Segundera, Jr., ACWD General Manager, and was graced with the presence of Director Perla R. Cuison of the ACWD Board of Directors. Civil Service Commission’s Director Flordeliza C. Bugtong and Ms. Ma. Rosette U. Ronduen provided enlightenment to the participants by sharing their knowledge and experiences as subject matter experts on the proper values and conduct of public employees.
The Values Orientation Workshop is adopted as a continuing intervention program by the CSC designed to inculcate appropriate norms and conduct becoming of government employees. Through various lectures and group discussions and activities, this year’s VOW proved to be successful for ACWD employees were able to learn the traits and behaviors public servants must possess as well as internalize what it truly means to serve for the people and be a “Lingkod Bayani”.
